On June 03, 2001 the Vincent H. Fowler Memorial was officially dedicated to the memory of deceased firefighters who served with the Conception Bay South Fire Department. This dedication ceremony saw the completion the project that Captain Fowler started prior to his untimely death in December of 2000.

Mrs. Doris Fowler, Captain Fowler's wife, and grandson Nicholas Vincent Coffen, light the first Memorial Candle to honour the memory of Captain Vince Fowler.
